Mercury® Authorized Sales & Service
We have always made an effort to support American manufacturing and home grown factories, starting with our partnership with the manufacturers of Evinrude-Johnson® outboard engines, originally owned by the Illinois based company, OMC. After being acquired by BRP®/Bombardier and continuing production, the Canadian based company decided that they would be discontinuing the Evinrude® / Johnson (now combined) line of engines as of 2020, but would still continue to provide support to dealerships in regards to parts supply and warranty.
In lieu of this decision, we decided that we would continue to back a United States based manufacturer and are proud to be partnered with Mercury® moving forward.
We still service and supply parts for many different models of Evinrude-Johnson outboard engines and will continue to do so as long as it is sustainable. We ask new and returning Evinrude-Johnson service customers for patience and understanding during this time as parts and support have become more scarce.
Generations of Service & Hard Work in Jacksonville, FL
sIn May of 1963 a small town Georgia couple, Bill and Lavern Beck, found their way to Jacksonville, Florida where they combined Bill’s technical knowledge of small engines with Lavern’s charisma and customer service ability to create Beck’s Lawnmower & Outboard Shop – now known as Beck’s Outboard.
Founder Bill Beck worked 39 years by night at CSX to create the LLC as it stands today with the business in the adept hands of his descendants.
Beck’s Outboard became a full line Evinrude/Johnson sales and service center in 1987 having already been a service only dealer for many years prior.
Beck’s Outboard now has 3 generations of mechanical ability and product knowledge backing our ALL family service and sales staff with Brian and Brad Beck heading the service department and Laurie Beck operating the front end. You are bound to meet them in person if you ever decide to stop in.
Beck’s has expanded their services to include general maintenance of most major outboards as well as boat trailer service and sales while still maintaining the high level of quality workmanship and customer service. We continue to perform our work with integrity, transparency, and genuine care for our patrons. This is what we believe sets our business apart from the competition, but we encourage you to drop in and experience our southern hospitality for yourselves!
