Q. Do you work on any engine?
We service select Evinrude-Johnson® and all Mercury® outboard engines. We also have a variety of parts available for both in store and available to order from the manufacturer.
We apologize, we do not accept other outboard makes and models at this time.
If you are a new customer interested in Evinrude-Johnson® service or repair, please give us a call in advance so we may better serve you.
Q. Do you sell on Facebook?
We may, from time to time, list new outboard engine models available at the shop, parts, and services on our Facebook page (facebook.com/becksoutboardinc) or on Facebook Marketplace by our social media manager, Samantha Luck, for advertising. Please note that this is the Beck’s Outboard Inc OFFICIAL Facebook account.
All finalization / registration and payment must be done through our storefront. If you are interested in a listing you saw on Facebook, please give us a call or Contact Us for more info.
We do not process payments or sales through Facebook and encourage users to report anyone posing as Beck’s Outboard Inc engaged in scamming or fraud on social media. We will never ask for your payment info over the phone or Facebook messenger. Any individual operating without the Beck’s Outboard Inc brand name or our social media manager IS NOT Beck’s Outboard!
Q. Do you sell fishing equipment?
No, we do not sell fishing gear or accessories. We do, however, carry a variety of marine supplies and boating equipment / parts, such as bilge pumps, paint, fuses, life jackets, flares, marine batteries, electrical replacements, etc.
Beck’s Outboard also specializes in custom aluminum trailers and trailer parts via MagicTilt and Continental Trailer.
Q. Do you ship / deliver / drop off engines?
We apologize for the inconvenience, all engine sales must be registered and rigged in store. We do not offer shipping / delivery for engines.
Q. Do I need an appointment for service or repair?
No appointment is necessary for outboard service or repair.
However, if you are a new customer or need to service an Evinrude-Johnson outboard engine, please call our office during store hours to confirm that we can assist you with your engine.
Q. How should I prepare my boat / engine for drop off?
We ask that all of our customers have valid registrations stickers etc and licensure as well as necessary safety equipment appropriate for your watercraft.
This is especially important if you are having issues on the water that would require us to perform water testing to repair and validate the issue.
This includes life jackets, fire extinguishers, keys, etc.
To our SeaDek® customers we ask that you please cover your boat prior to bringing it in to prevent possible damage from local wildlife
Q. What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
We accept cash, credit, and debit in store. Other payment menthods may be available. If you are interested in purchasing an item advertised on Facebook Marketplace or elsewhere, please contact us for payment, pickup, and delivery options available for your request.
We will never ask for your payment information on Facebook or via email, messenger, etc.
Q. Do You Work On Boats With Multiple Engines?
We currently service single engine watercraft only, under 25ft.
This may change in the fututre. We appreciate your patience and urge you to check back soon as we continue to update and expand our business model to better accomodate our customers.
If you have a pontoon boat, multi-engines, or larger vessel and would like to see if we can help, please drop by for an assessment and estimate. We reserve the right to decline to service any engine we may deem a liability or beyond our capacity to repair with what we currently have at the shop. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Q. What Kind of Engines Do You Sell?
We sell Mercury® 4-stroke outboard engines under 30hp in store and can order most smaller engines new through the manufacturer. Portable Mercury® engines can be found in our showroom throughout the year.
Parts are available for most Mercury® and Evinrude-Johnson® outboard engines in store and to order. Please contact us, call or drop by for more information and to explore repower options through Mercury®
Q. Do you work on inboards or jet boats?
We do not service inboard engines, jet boats, jet skis, pontoons, etc. We exclusively service most Evinrude-Johnson® and Mercury® 4 stroke outboard engines at this time.
Q. Do you do boat repair or fiberglass repair?
We do not offer fiberglass repair or boat repair services, though we will repair marine accessories such as bilge pumps as needed and offer these components in store available for purchase. If you require fiberglass repair, we will be happy to recommend a local, reputable repair shop in the area.
Q. Do you sell aftermarket parts?
We do not sell aftermarket parts with the exception of BRP parts that have been discontinued and supplies are limited.
If you are looking for parts for your Mercury or Evinrude-Johnson outboard engine, please give us a call with your engine specs, part number, etc.
**All parts sales are as is and final. We cannot cancel or refund orders placed for parts.
